Activate LDAC on Android

Since, Android 8.0, Android OS does support LDAC/LHDC. So, In order to archive the best possible streaming rate through LDAC, we need to enable it from developer options. First, make sure Bluetooth is enabled.

1. Enable developer options – Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap 7 times on build number. And, you”ll get a message like “You’re now a developer”.Enable Developer Options in Android

 

2. After that, go back to Settings > System > Developer options. Scroll down until you see a bunch of Bluetooth related options.

3. After that, you have to change the playback quality. Tap on “Bluetooth audio LDAC codec: Playback quality“.

Once, you have enabled optimal Audio quality for LDAC coded under developer options. The Android device will be forced to stream at 990/909 kbps. So, that’s how you can enable LDAC on Android Smartphones.
